New Winter Menu for Award-Winning Cork Seafood Restaurant

Cush in Ballycotton launches three-course set menu as well as new tasting menu

Cush, an award winning restaurant, traditional maritime pub and stylish guest house, will be launching new menus next week offering customers the choice of a three-course Bib Gourmand awarded set menu or a tasting menu.

The Ballycotton eatery is also teaming up with the popular music and comedy venue, Sea Church, for a two-night stay along with one evening meal and tickets to a show.

Cush was listed in this year’s Michelin Guide of The Best Seafood Restaurants in the Republic of Ireland.  It also received a Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand for the first time in February 2022.

Cush, the award winning restaurant in Ballycotton, East Cork, which is launching both a new set menu, and a tasting menu.

Cush prides itself on using the finest locally sourced and seasonal ingredients, from its exceptionally flavoursome fruit and vegetables, to its top-quality meat from local butchers, and its perfectly prepared fish, caught locally in Ballycotton.

The new menus contain an array of mouth-watering courses including:

  • Warm natural smoked haddock, potato velouté, crispy hens egg
  • Aged Ballinrostig cheese agnolotti, white onion velouté, crispy shallot
  • Slow cooked Irish beef cheek, Iona farm baby carrot, black garlic, madeira sauce
  • Roast Irish chicken breast, crushed celeriac, boudin noir, hispi cabbage, madeira sauce
  • Smoked salted caramel tart, beamish ice cream
  • Baba glazed in Valentia island vermouth syrup, figs, whipped mascarpone cream

Head Chef Dan Geurin never compromises on taste and his vast culinary experience under some of Ireland’s top chefs shines through in every dish.  He said; “Being listed on the Michelin Guide of The Best Seafood Restaurants in the Republic of Ireland has been an incredible boost for Cush and we wanted to give our customers an even better experience with a new and improved menu. The three-course set menu and tasting menu have been created using the best of local ingredients and we are looking forward to serving the dishes after the official launch.”

The new menus will be launched on Thursday, October 12th.  The three-course Bib Gourmand awarded set menu is available from 5pm to 7pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and all day Sunday and is priced at €44 per person.  The tasting menu is from 7pm and is priced at €80 per person and diners can add a wine pairing for €40 entry level or €55 premium.

Two nights B&B and one evening tasting menu for two people on Thursdays and Fridays is €420. A Bib Gourmand Set Menu for two people and two tickets to Sea Church to see a show is also available.
