About our guest – Celebrity Chef Gary O’Hanlon

Gary is an award-winning Chef, Broadcaster and Columnist. Gary is the Executive Chef at the Chateau du Coudreceau in France. He is a regular on our TV screens on both RTÉ and Virgin Media. He is the chef in charge of starters on the hugely popular Virgin Media One series The Restaurant.

About our guest - Executive Chef Gary O’Hanlon

Originally from Ramelton, near Letterkenny, Gary previously worked at The Olde Post restaurant at Cloverhill, and at the Lobster Pot Restaurant in the Galway Bay Hotel. Prior to returning to Ireland, Gary was head chef at Devlin’s Restaurant and Bar in Boston. In 2019, Gary appeared twice on BBC One’s Saturday Kitchen where dishes he cooked included a delicious Chicken Mornay with Chorizo Crumb.

Chef Gary spent 10 years as Head Chef at the award-winning Viewmount House in Longford and is well-known as a TV guest chef and Newstalk FM contributor. He has taken up a new role as Executive Head Chef at Chateau du Coudreceau in Loury, France – a luxurious estate that costs €25,000 per night to stay.

Additionally, Gary regularly participates in culinary events around the country including Taste of DublinElectric Picnic and more.
