Energy security and affordability are at the forefront of people’s minds. There is much focus on how to heat businesses, potential renewable solutions and the costs associated with a warm and comfortable environment.

Decarbonising heat is key to achieving net zero, but Calor wants to ensure that businesses have a choice of technologies to meet every budget, infrastructural challenge, and environmental goal.

Working with business customers located off the natural gas grid, Calor can provide options that meet their requirements and their budget. This means ensuring that those located off grid have the same options to decarbonise as those in urban settings.

Calor has been to the forefront of enabling hospitality businesses to make more environmentally friendly choices for over 85 years. Calor LPG’s lower carbon emissions and reduced air pollutants compared to oil have already made it an appealing choice for those looking to make a positive impact. Taking the first step on their sustainability journey, businesses can reduce their carbon emissions by around 10%* by switching from oil to LPG.

Hotels & restaurants located off grid can enjoy all the benefits gas can offer with Calor; efficient heating, instant hot water, controllable cooking, and the warmth and welcome of a gas fire.

Calor works with all types of businesses, small and large, to create tailored solutions for their energy and sustainability needs through our dedicated sales and engineering teams. Our tank monitoring software allows us to remotely monitor gas levels and schedule a delivery when required.

In 2018, Calor introduced BioLPG, Ireland’s first certified renewable gas. Produced from renewable feedstocks, such as plant and vegetable waste, BioLPG reduces CO2 emissions by up to 90%**. It is identical in use and performance to conventional LPG, allowing Calor customers make the switch to a renewable energy without the need to change any appliances.

This transition from LPG to BioLPG takes the sustainability journey even further. Calor has been working to develop a range of energy solutions for businesses across Ireland through its Futuria range of sustainable energy products. Alongside our parent company SHV Energy, Calor will continue to invest in developing sustainable energy solutions to enable hospitality customers to make lower carbon choices.
