Ashford Castle’s New Offering Features 3 Dining Experiences over Two Days

Taste the difference with a Taste of Ireland two-night break at Ashford Castle

Taste the difference and enjoy a little taste of the very best of the West with Taste of Ireland, Ashford Castle’s latest offer, where the focus is firmly on the food. From €760.00* per person sharing, guests will enjoy a two-night break with breakfast each morning and three very special dining experiences:

  • Fine dining one evening with a magnificent five-course table d’hôte dinner in the historic George V Dining Room (photo below)
  • More traditional Irish cuisine another evening with a three-course dinner in the unique and dramatic atmosphere of The Dungeon
  • Afternoon Tea in the glorious Connaught Room, which exudes old world charm with its panelled oak walls and Donegal Crystal chandelier (photo above)

All ingredients used at Ashford Castle are seasonally and locally sourced from the grounds of the castle and from fantastic suppliers such as Dooncastle Oysters, Achill Island Lamb, Skeaghanore Duck, Kylemore Farmhouse Cheese and Andarl Farm, which supplies the hotel with its free-range pork.

Each morning, guests will sit down to an award-winning breakfast in the Geroge V dining room where the menu includes freshly prepared juices and smoothies selected and served by the hotel’s juice sommelier, Andarl Farm Glazed Gammon, which has been slow baked overnight and freshly baked breads.

Guests can also enjoy a complimentary round of golf on the estate’s nine-hole course, bike rides through the estate and access to the relaxation pool and fitness studio (reservation required).
