The Tourism briefings aim to strengthen collaboration and support sustainable tourism growth across the county

Representatives from tourism businesses and organisations across County Mayo came together in Belmullet and Westport last week for a series of Tourism Breakfast Briefings organised by Fáilte Ireland aimed at strengthening collaboration and supporting sustainable tourism growth across the county.

Held in the Broadhaven Bay Hotel (Tuesday) and the Westport Woods Hotel (Wednesday), the events brought together industry stakeholders to hear the latest updates on tourism projects, destination development initiatives and supports available to businesses in Mayo.

The keynote session explored practical strategies to help tourism business strengthen competitiveness and resilience in an increasingly challenging operating environment.

Drawing on real-world examples, the session focussed on areas within businesses’ control including: improving productivity, profitability, customer value, technology adoption, skills development, and collaboration to help drive performance and support long term success.
