Millions of British golf fans to read all about Limerick and Clare’s world-class golf as golf Journalists tee off
Around 8.3 million British golf fans – and potential holidaymakers for Limerick and Clare – are set to read all about our superb golf courses, following a visit by leading golf journalists from Britain. The journalists were here as guests of Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland.
The journalists had the opportunity to test their skills at Dromoland Castle Golf Club, Limerick Golf Club and Ballyneety Golf Club. Their itinerary also included a visit to Treaty City Brewery for a tasting tour.
Julie Wakley, Tourism Ireland’s Head of Great Britain, said:
“We were delighted to invite these leading golf journalists to visit Limerick and Clare, to experience some of our top courses for themselves. The print and online articles they produce will reach around 8.3 million British golf fans – a fantastic opportunity to showcase our exceptional golf, stunning scenery and unique hospitality.
We know that the combination of our world-class golf and our unique brand hospitality plays a key role in attracting golfers from Britain and around the world.“
Tourism Ireland is taking every opportunity to highlight the fact that Adare Manor will host the Ryder Cup next year and that the Walker Cup will take place in Lahinch and the Irish Open at Trump International Golf Links in Doonbeg this year.”
