Aramark Building Community Day (ABC Day) volunteers supported two community organisations
Aramark Ireland colleagues recently came together in Dublin for the company’s annual Aramark Building Community Day (ABC Day), volunteering their time and skills to support two community organisations through practical, hands-on projects focused on wellbeing, learning and inclusion.
In Finglas, a team of volunteers spent the day at the Dogs Trust Rehoming Centre, helping to enhance the outdoor environment for dogs awaiting adoption. Activities included painting, general clean-up, and landscaping works across the centre, creating a brighter, more welcoming space for both animals and staff.

Louise Regazzoli, Corporate Partnerships Officer for Dogs Trust Ireland said:
“Our rehoming centre is a busy and important space for dogs on their journey to finding a forever home. The support from Aramark volunteers made a real difference to our outdoor areas and helped us build on the positive environment we provide for the dogs in our care.” We are very grateful for their time, energy, and commitment.”
Meanwhile, in Darndale, Aramark colleagues worked with Our Lady Immaculate School to transform an outdoor area into a dedicated reading and learning space for students. The project focused on cleaning, refreshing, and preparing the area to support reading, reflection, and outdoor learning, giving pupils a new space to enjoy during the school day.

Louise Lynch, Home School Community Liaison Coordinator from Our Lady Immaculate School said:
“This project has given our students a lovely new space to read and learn outdoors. The Aramark team brought great enthusiasm and worked incredibly hard throughout the day. Their support will have a lasting impact on our school community, and we’re very thankful for their generosity.”
Jason Keegan, Vice President of Aramark Ireland, added:
“ABC Day is a highlight of the year for our teams and a powerful reminder of the impact we can have when we work together. Whether supporting housing initiatives, animal welfare, or local schools, our colleagues bring real energy and care to these projects. We’re proud to continue this tradition of giving back and supporting organisations that make such a meaningful difference in their communities.”
Aramark’s Building Community Day (ABC Day) is a cornerstone of the company’s commitment to social responsibility. Each year, Aramark colleagues across Ireland and Northern Ireland volunteer with local charities, schools, and community organisations, helping to strengthen communities and deliver positive, lasting change.
