Midlands Park Hotel announced its Christmas Community Donation Initiative in support of the Children’s Health Foundation (CHF).
Throughout December, €1 from every meal purchased at Charter Bar & Eatery and Kelly’s Steakhouse will be donated to the Children’s Health Foundation (CHF). The foundation helps equip frontline teams in Children’s Health Ireland hospitals and urgent care centres at Temple Street, Crumlin, Tallaght and Connolly to provide world-class, transformative care.
This year’s initiative is especially meaningful to the Midlands Park Hotel team, and is spearheaded by Stacey Corbally from the hotel’s Meetings & Events department. Stacey’s four-year-old son, Matthew, is one of only three children in Ireland living with MPS VI (Maroteaux–Lamy syndrome), a very rare genetic disorder that causes the membrane protecting the brain and spinal cord to thicken.
The condition can lead to challenges with hearing and vision, as well as enlargement of the liver or spleen, heart complications and respiratory issues. Inspired by the exceptional care Matthew receives at Temple Street Children’s Hospital, Stacey and her colleagues chose the Children’s Health Foundation (CHF) as the beneficiary of this year’s fundraising efforts
