Cork’s historic Grande Dame announces a mouthwatering line-up of events for August’s city-wide food celebration

The Imperial Hotel, a cornerstone of Cork hospitality for over two centuries, is once again at the heart of the action as Cork on a Fork Festival swings around again this August 13th–17th.

The South Mall landmark hotel will take part in the city’s premier food festival with a series of unique events designed to showcase the hotel’s character, creativity and Cork charm.

From immersive theatre and rooftop wellness to cocktails and comedy, the events blend heritage with modern flair — all while celebrating local producers and the city’s growing status as Ireland’s Food Capital.

Hysterical Histories Takes The Imperial Hotel (13 August)
Expect belly laughs, mead cocktails and a delicious two-course dinner as the acclaimed immersive theatre troupe brings their riotous show to the halls of The Imperial. A spirited and side-splitting dive into Cork’s culture, language, and quirks, this evening promises great food and even better craic.

Rebel City Distillery x Fitzgerald’s Bar Masterclass (16 August)
A guided tasting and cocktail-making experience in the hotel’s stylish Fitzgerald’s Bar, featuring local spirits from Rebel City Distillery and light food pairings. This hands-on session is the perfect mix of learning, sipping and savouring — all in the elegant surroundings of one of Cork’s most beautiful bars.

 Unwind & Elevate & (17 August)
 A soulful Sunday morning combining rooftop pilates, a beauty talk, and a nourishing wellness breakfast served with views of the city skyline. Curated for balance, self-care and enjoyment, this experience offers a refreshing break from the bustle of the festival.

Murder Mystery Night at The Grand Dame (15 August): A vintage-style evening of whodunnit drama, paired with a three-course meal and glamorous surroundings. Wait list open.
