Renowned East Cork eatery offers a wide variety of delicious and locally sourced food

Cush, an award winning restaurant, traditional maritime pub and stylish guest house, has launched three new seasonal menus.

The popular Ballycotton venue, which received a Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand for the first time in February 2022, is offering a seasonal tasting menu with the option of wine pairing, an á la carte menu, and a set menu, all of which are very reasonably priced and  can be enjoyed in either the restaurant or bar.

The new menus contain an array of mouth-watering courses from traditional Irish dishes to more adventurous additions such as:

  • Smoked haddock
  • Grilled fillet of wild John Dory
  • Roast boned and rolled quail
  • Short rib of beef
  • Royal Belgian caviar
  • Roast Wicklow Sikka deer.
  • Velvet cloud yoghurt pannacotta
  • Apple crumble soufflé
  • Chocolate and hazelnut praline mousse
  • Selection of artisan cheeses with quince jelly and homemade crackers

Cush prides itself on using the finest locally sourced and seasonal ingredients, from its exceptionally flavoursome fruit and vegetables, to its top-quality meat from local butchers, and its perfectly prepared fish, caught locally in Ballycotton. Head Chef Dan Geurin never compromises on taste and his vast culinary experience under some of  Ireland’s top chefs shines through in every dish.

Front of House at Cush Doireann Flynn said the new seasonal menus are a reflection of the overall high quality on offer at the venue: Our chef Dan Guerin and his exceptional team have put together three really excellent new menus that cater for every type of night out over the Christmas season. There’s great value to be had on our set menu, and the seasonal pairing menu offers delicious food as well as wines that perfectly complement the dishes. There’s a huge choice on our new á la carte menu, and the feedback we’re getting from customers is that Cush is going from strength to strength. Ballycotton is a really great place for hospitality and we hope people make the most of what’s on offer here.”
