Festive Season at Rugged Lane
For foodies looking for a memorable dining experience, Rugged Lane will continue the 3-course Dinner/ Lunch menus with surprises, excellent wine list, and full bar offering for the month of December with the usual Thurs-Sat dinner and Sun lunch – but there with be extra dates to accommodate everyone!
Extra dates will include Tues 20th and Wed 21st for dinner, there will be lunch and dinner served on Friday 23rd and there will be a lovely Christmas Eve lunch served with last booking at 2.30pm. The restaurant will reopen for dinner on Wednesday 28th with dinner served on 29th and 30th and there will be a fabulous New Year’s Eve dinner followed by lunch on New Year’s Day.
Rugged Lane has put Castleknock well and truly on the restaurant map with its excellent cuisine and top-notch service and both November and December menus are live.
Placing an emphasis on seasonal and locally produced ingredients, packed with delightful flavours that will suit all tastebuds and dietary requirements including plant based and coeliac, includes starters like artichoke, leek, watercress and chestnut, lobster bisque, comte and lobster crisp and guinea fowl, date, watercress and walnut and gin cured salmon, prawn cocktail and crisp bread will ignite your tastebuds.
Mains like turkey, ham, carrot, cranberry and potato, shepard-less pie, salsify and mash, Wicklow venison, kale, red currant and parsnip and cod, makhini, pickled shallot and coriander will put a smile on your face and desserts with stunning flavours like chocolate, clementine and hazelnut, custard, sherry, Madeira sponge and vanilla cream along with ice-creams, sorbets and Irish cheeses with pear chutney will truly make this dining event one to remember.
Sunday lunch will offer more traditional options including a roast which will change monthly also. Throughout your meal, still and sparkling water is complimentary and there are also wine pairings and a beautifully curated cheese board.

Dinner menu is €59 pp, Sunday lunch is €44 pp, Children’s Sunday lunch is €19.50 per child, Christmas Eve lunch is €65pp and New Year’s Eve dinner is €75pp.
