Dorian Wine Bar and Restaurant, Donnybrook, launches new summer menu under the helm of talented Head Chef Rowen Babe.
Dorian, a friendly neighbourhood bistro in the heart of D4 opened late last year to much acclaim with a menu that is short but neat and big on flavour! This intimate eatery, which takes décor inspiration from the roaring 20s, is situated where the old Roy Fox grocer used to be.
Dorian is the perfect spot for a low-key date, a casual catch up with friends or a pre-match lunch or dinner.
New Summer Menu
Dorian’s new summer menu was recently curated by Head Chef Rowen Babe, who hails from New Zealand via London, and embraces the flavours of the new season. Chefs’ menu focuses on small sharing plates, with simple, fresh flavours, and daily specials for larger plates. The new summer menu features dishes which are bound to be popular with many, such as Fennel Cured Mackerel, Courgette, Basil, Garlic and Chilli Oil or Korean Cauliflower “Wings”, Spicy Gochujang Sauce, Crispy Shallots, Sesame & Coriander to go with Dorian’s extensive wine and cocktail list.
The Dorian team have spent the last few months sourcing and researching what is in season and what is local. The restaurant prides itself in supporting local suppliers such as JJ Youngs, Sustainable Seafood Ireland, Firehouse Bakery and Total Produce.
Cocktails and Wine in the Suburbs
With an extensive wine list that includes the house’s own “Dorian” label wine, which comes from a vineyard in Burgundy, France. Dorian is the cosy enclave that has got the neighbours talking.
The wine and food here is a great draw but be prepared to tickle your tastebuds with Dorian’s award-winning cocktails made by mixologist Dorian Pappalardo. Yes, his name is also Dorian, coincidentally! Award-winning cocktails such as Dorian’s Pineapple Margarita or the Pink Lady (Glendalough Rose Gin, Italicus & Lemon Juice) await you and the ingredients are inspired by the speakeasy classics of the Prohibition era and Victorian Britain!
