Ethiopian Supper Club & Restaurant Gursha takes Residency at Roe & Co Distillery at D-8te
Ethiopian restaurant Gursha will be joining D-8TE at Roe & Co for a very limited two week run, from Thursday 12th – Saturday 14th and Thursday 19th – Saturday 21st
For this very special collaboration with Roe & Co, Gursha owner Mel and his kitchen team have chosen the best of their restaurant and supper club dishes to pair with exciting Roe & Co Whiskey cocktails. Hosted in the Power House Garden at Roe & Co distillery, the four-course menu will include meat or vegan options and feature Ethiopian samosas, Atakilt Alicha, a decadent spiced potato dish, Doro Wat, a traditional Ethiopian slow-cooked chicken stew with Berbere spice and of course injera flatbreads, which are used instead of a knife and fork to scoop up your food.
Mel, who moved to Dublin from Ethiopia in 1995 and grew up in Bayside, was working in a bank until a visit to Ethiopia in 2018 sparked the idea of introducing Dublin to Ethiopian cuisine. He started out with a supper club focused on the sharing philosophy of Ethiopian cuisine and showcasing the vivid flavours and colours of the shared feasting dishes.
The Gursha x Roe & Co collaboration marks the start of the summer season for D-8TE at Roe & Co Distillery which is all about celebrating and showcasing some of the most exciting food being dreamed up and brought to life in Dublin. From Michelin recommended kitchens to some of the city’s favourite nomadic kitchens, with more partner vendors to be announced the lineup for this D-8TE summer season will be all about celebrating the diverse range of cooking & cuisines available in D8.
