Following the success of hosting the 2021 Irish Open, Mount Juliet Estate is delighted to confirm that it will host the Irish Open again in 2022, which will take place from the 30th of June to the 3rd of July 2022. It will be the fifth time that Mount Juliet will host the Irish Open.
The Jack Nicklaus Signature Design Course at Mount Juliet has a prestigious history in hosting major golf events and producing world-class champions. The 2021 winner, Lucas Herbert who has since recorded his first victory on the PGA Tour, joined Sir Nick Faldo, Bernhard Langer and Sam Torrance, as winners of the Irish Open hosted at Mount Juliet Estate.
On hosting the tournament, Mark Dunne, General Manager of Mount Juliet Estate said,

This year’s tournament was a great success, and we look forward to welcoming DP World Tour, competing golfers, spectators, and international visitors for the 2022 Irish Open. When we made our original commitment to bring the Irish Open back to Mount Juliet Estate, we never expected to be contending with the Covid-19 pandemic. However, despite the obvious challenges, the Mount Juliet Estate team with the support of Failte Ireland and Kilkenny County Council successfully hosted one of the first large-scale sporting events during the pilot ‘return to sport’ scheme. It was a significant undertaking and a fantastic achievement by everyone involved and we are really looking forward to welcoming the public back under what we hope will be far less restrictive circumstances in 2022.”
