Cullen’s at the cottage reopens at Ashford Castle

Ashford Castle is reopening of the popular Cullen’s at the Cottage restaurant for the 2019 season.

Cullen’s at the Cottage offers a relaxed dining experience, with a delicious menu created by Chef Philippe Farineau featuring world dishes made using local ingredients. A nod to the South African heritage of Red Carnation founder Beatrice Tollman appears on the menu with the tasty Bobotie Spring Rolls dish. Dooncastle Oysters and Connemara Lobster cooked in the charcoal oven feature and meat lovers can enjoy our tasty Angus Beef Ribeye Surf & Turf served with Garlic Butter.

Just a short stroll through the splendid grounds of the Ashford Castle estate, across the bridge over River Cong, guests will find the charming traditional thatched building that is Cullen’s at the Cottage. The building used to be home to Cong Cinema before being transformed into the casual dining venue. The unique interiors reflect lakeside living at Lough Corrib. The outdoor dining patio overlooks the beautifully manicured garden with views over the spectacular Ashford Castle estate.

Cullen’s at the Cottage opens on March 8th for the spring, summer and early autumn seasons. It will be open seven days a week serving lunch and dinner subject to availability. For reservations and further information please visit www.ashfordcastle.comor phone 094 9546003.
