Trigon Hotels Mark 210 Years of Service From 20 Team Members

The team members were honoured at the Long Service Awards

Trigon Hotels, which includes the Metropole Hotel in Cork city and the Cork International Hotel, celebrated 20 team members who marked a total of 210 years of service with the group.

The team members were honoured at the Long Service Awards, held in the Cork International Hotel on Thursday, September 24th.

Among the longest servicing members were Valerie Lynch, Public Areas in the Metropole, with 35 years at the hotel and Esther O’Neill, Accommodation at the Metropole Hotel, with 30 years. Two members have 20 years of service and these are Monika Werner, Accommodation Management at the Cork International Hotel and Marta Marcinkowska, Accommodation Manager at the Metropole Hotel. The remaining team members have 5, 10 and 15 years of service.

Strategic HR Director with Trigon, Kathleen Linehan said:

“The Trigon Hotel Long Service Awards are hugely important to the group as it offers us an opportunity to celebrate the team members who have given years of dedication and commitment to their respective hotels and colleagues. It is often assumed that hospitality is a transient industry but these colleagues demonstrate that it can provide fulfilling careers on a long-term basis with an opportunity for progression and a genuine sense of belonging.”

· Joanna O’Donovan – 5 years
