More than €21,000 was raised for the suicide prevention charity Teac Tom at charity golf day at The K Club
Working in the construction industry carries unique pressures, from time away from loved ones to ever-tightening deadlines and budgets, bringing mental health into sharper focus in recent years.Having the opportunity to support such an incredible charity was therefore hugely important to both DataScope and PSI Global.
To help initiate conversations around mental health in the built environment – and raise vital funds for a worthy cause – almost 100 golfers, including many key customers from across the Irish data centre industry, were brought together for a day of golf, networking and community spirit.
The evening also featured a panel of well-known Irish sporting figures, chaired by two-time All-Ireland Senior Hurling winning manager and executive leadership advisor Liam Sheedy. The star-studded panel featured 2026 All-Ireland winning manager Andy Moran, four-time champion and Elite Dual-Sport performer Kieran Donaghy, six-time winner John Kiely, and Kieran McGeeney, All-Ireland winning manager and leadership consultant.

Thomas Hayes Trust – Teac Tom
Also known as the Thomas Hayes Trust, Teac Tom provides hugely important mental health and suicide intervention services to support individuals and families across Ireland. Following the loss of her husband and her 19-year-old son, Thomas, to suicide, Angela Hayes founded the Thomas Hayes Trust in 2014 to help prevent any other family from enduring that same pain.
A lifeline for many, the charity has a 24/7 helpline and an open-door policy, gives various mental health awareness talks, and offers corporate days for workplaces.
