
Minister Burke received updates on the progress of the 5-year Destination and Experience Development Plan for the area
Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment Peter Burke met with members of the Connemara and the Islands Tourism Network steering group, hosted by Fáilte Ireland in the Connemara Sands Hotel, where he received an update on the progress of the 5-year Destination and Experience Development Plan (DEDP) for the area, and tourism developments underway across the locality.
The Minister engaged with local industry and stakeholders on the priorities shaping the next phase of the DEDP, including initiatives designed to strengthen the visitor experience, support sustainable tourism growth, and enhance the economic impact of tourism for communities along the Connemara coast.
His visit reflects the Government’s ongoing commitment to working closely with Fáilte Ireland and regional partners to advance high quality tourism development in the west of Ireland.
