Over 120 tourism and hospitality businesses from across Sligo this week took part in a Destination Sligo networking event in the Clayton Hotel, Sligo.
The event focused on helping local tourism enterprises strengthen their business, plan for growth in 2026, and make the most of the county’s expanding visitor offering.
As part of the Sligo Destination and Experience Development Plan, Fáilte Ireland is working directly with agency and industry stakeholders to share insights, and create practical opportunities for businesses to work together, promote each other, and deliver the ambitions of the plan together.

Held during Local Enterprise Week, and delivered with Sligo County Council and Local Enterprise Office Sligo, the session also connected businesses with key partners including Sligo Leader Partnership, Sligo BID and Ireland’s Association for Adventure Tourism.
Industry leaders including Catherine Toolan, Managing Director of Diageo Irish Brand Homes, shared their experience and advice, giving local enterprises a stronger foundation to innovate, grow, and compete in a changing tourism market.
