Midlands Park Hotel in Portlaoise has been awarded IHF Quality Employer Hotel – Expert Level Certification and named Best In Class in its category at the Irish Hotel Federation’s inaugural Quality Employer Awards.

Over seventy hotels from across the country gathered at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Athlone on Tuesday, 13th January for the IHF’s first-ever awards, which aim to highlight hotel teams that have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to excellence in people development and HR best practices through their participation in the IHF’ Quality Employer Programme.

To achieve Expert Level Quality Employer Certification, Midlands Park Hotel demonstrated excellence in its employment practices across all six pillars of the IHF’s Quality Employer Programme. In particular, hotels in the Expert category had to demonstrate their commitment to professional development and career growth, supported by a comprehensive programme of recognition and rewards for team members.

Securing a second accolade on the day, Midlands Park Hotel was one of just twelve hotels to be honoured with a Best in Class award within their category.
