The 4-star accreditation marks a major milestone in the Kildare-based hotel’s 45-year history
The Springfield Hotel in Leixlip, Co. Kildare has been officially awarded a 4-star accreditation by Fáilte Ireland, marking a significant milestone for the beloved property.
This achievement reflects the hotel’s unwavering commitment to delivering the highest standards of service and hospitality, something the Springfield team has been renowned for since first opening its doors in 1979. Over the last 18 months, the hotel has undergone an extensive refurbishment to ensure the property reflects the 4-star service long provided by its dedicated staff.

Guests can now enjoy stylish, modern rooms alongside the warm Irish welcome that has always defined the Springfield Hotel experience. Ideally located just one minute off the M4 at Exit 5 in Leixlip, the hotel offers the best of both worlds – the tranquility of the suburbs with seamless access to Dublin’s city centre. A bus service departing every 15 minutes stops right outside the hotel, while Dublin Airport is only 18 minutes away, and Heuston Station is just 15 minutes by car.
From weddings and corporate conferences to casual dining in the popular Springfield Bar & Restaurant, the hotel has become a trusted destination for both locals and visitors. Its experienced and loyal team, some who have been with the hotel for over three decades, ensure every guest has a memorable stay.
Speaking on the recent accreditation, General Manager Sean O’Keeffe shared;
“In August, we were accredited our Fáilte Ireland 4th Star, a milestone in the hotel’s 45-year history that reflects our continued dedication to providing high-quality service, exceptional guest experiences, and warm Irish hospitality. This achievement would not have been possible without the support of the iNUA Hotel Collection and the incredible commitment of our entire Springfield team.”
The 4-star status marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for The Springfield Hotel, one that will see the hotel continue to build on its reputation as one of Kildare’s most welcoming and well-connected destinations.
