The development of Lough Rynn Castle Estate and Gardens aims to further elevate both facilities and the guest experience.
The Hanly Castle Group are pleased to share an update on the ongoing expansion of the renowned Lough Rynn Castle Estate & Gardens in County Leitrim, Ireland. This significant development is well underway and aims to further elevate both facilities and the guest experience at the existing luxury castle & estate.
As part of the expansion, 51 new luxurious bedrooms are being developed, increasing the total room count to 95. This enhancement is designed to cater to the growing demand from both the corporate and leisure sector for a truly unique and memorable experience in one of Ireland’s most historic and luxurious estate settings.
General Manager Eoin O Sullivan commented
“We are pleased to confirm that construction is progressing on to schedule, with our new restaurant due for completion in December 2025, followed by the launch of the first phase of 23 additional guest rooms and suites on May 1st, 2026”.
In addition to the new restaurant and expanded accommodations, the development will include a World-Class Wellness Centre, complete with indoor and outdoor pools,heating and cooling experiences, a new entrance and arrival lobby and lounges, glazed walkways, and an oak-panelled library bar. The new additions have been thoughtfully crafted to elevate the guest experience along with providing significant enhancements and choices to guests.
Beyond enhancing the guest experience, the expansion will create approximately 140 new jobs across a range of professional roles, contributing to the growth and development of tourism in Co. Leitrim and Irelands Hidden Heartlands. The expansion
coincides with refurbishment of the existing hotels bedrooms and suites, bringing an elevated level of luxury and style to the unique castle atmosphere.
The groups ongoing commitment to restoring the historical outbuildings on the property, continues applying the same diligence and sensitivity that characterized their previous restoration efforts. The Estates famous walled gardens continue to be restored and planted using sustainable techniques and self-cultivated organic soil.
