Lawlor’s of Naas is thrilled to highlight its participation in the upcoming 2024 Taste of Kildare Festival, set to take place from Friday, September 20th to Sunday, September 22nd at Naas Racecourse. This year, visitors will have the exclusive opportunity to savour Mrs. Lawlor’s legendary trifle, a cherished family recipe that has been delighting guests for over 100 years.

Renowned for its deep roots in equine hospitality, Lawlor’s of Naas is excited to return to Naas Racecourse, a venue close to the heart of its history. The late Mrs. Lawlor was a celebrated caterer, known for her incredible trifles at every major equine event in Ireland, from the Galway Races to the RDS Horse Show. Her delicious desserts have become synonymous with Irish racing culture, and this year, festival-goers can indulge in her famous trifle not just once, but twice!

Guests will find Mrs. Lawlor’s trifle in the Ballymore VIP Lounge on Saturday (Friday is already sold out) and in the Taste of Italy Italian Quarter, offering two unique opportunities to enjoy this historic dessert.

Located just 1.3 kms from Naas Racecourse—a pleasant 20-minute walk—Lawlor’s of Naas is an ideal destination for festival attendees looking to explore more of ’s hospitality. The hotel offers a variety of dining options, including brunch from 11 am to 3 pm, afternoon tea from 1 pm to 3 pm, and an exquisite dinner service. Guests can also enjoy live music in the bar and experience fine dining at Vi’s Restaurant or the cozy ambiance of the Bistro.
