Trim Castle Hotel is delighted to announce the appointment of Antun Simunovic as the new General Manager.
With over 20 years’ experience in luxury hospitality, Antun’s appointment follows his successful tenure as Hotel Manager at InterContinental London – The O2, where he demonstrated his exceptional ability to manage large-scale operations while maintaining the highest standards of guest experience. Here, he propelled the hotel’s reputation as a top choice for both leisure and business travellers, earning it the award for Europe’s Best MICE Hotel in the World MICE Awards.
Antun Simunovic
Prior to his role in London, Antun served as the General Manager at the Sheraton Athlone Hotel with Marriott International, where he successfully managed the hotel’s operations and contributed to its continuous success. His adept leadership, from Conference & Banqueting Manager at The Johnstown Estate to key roles at Adriatic Luxury Hotels, refined his expertise in Operations, Meetings, and Events. Originally from Croatia, Antun first developed a passion for the hospitality industry while studying Tourism Destination Management at the University of Dubrovnik and working part-time as a Hotel Porter.
In his new role, Autun will oversee all aspects of the hotel, enhancing the financial and operational performance, while sharing his passion for exceptional guest experiences.

Away from his professional commitments, Antun, a former semi-professional footballer, enjoys an active lifestyle with interests in football, tennis, basketball, cycling, and hiking. He also loves to travel and has a taste for Italian cuisine.
