Java Republic appoints Jeffrey Long as Managing Director

Java Republic, Ireland’s premium coffee roaster, is delighted to announce the appointment of Jeffrey Long as Managing Director. In his new role, Jeffrey will direct all aspects of the business and be responsible for driving the future strategic direction of Java Republic.

Jeffrey joined Java Republic in 2008 as Finance & Operations Director, and during his 15-year tenure has established himself as a key member of the business leadership team. Jeffrey has extensive management experience and a comprehensive understanding of the Java Republic business. Having worked closely with the departing Grace O’Shaughnessy, who served as Managing Director for 17 years, Jeffrey is perfectly positioned to lead the team of close to 100 people in achieving continued success and growth for the company.

Commenting on his appointment, Jeffrey Long, said: “After 15 years with Java Republic as Finance & Operations Director, I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to lead the company into its next stage of growth. 2022 marked a successful year for our business following the market disruption brought about by the global pandemic over the prior two years. Notwithstanding the new challenges we all now face, coffee is a very dynamic and exciting industry, and I am very confident about the future for Java Republic with its fantastic products, and our nation-wide team, who have played an instrumental part in growing the business over the years.”

He continued: “I would also like to take this opportunity to thank my colleague, Grace O’Shaughnessy, as she departs the company. I have had the pleasure of working alongside Grace since joining Java Republic and have seen first-hand the level of commitment she brings to every aspect of her work. Grace has left a lasting impact on Java Republic and, as Managing Director, my aim is to build on her legacy, ensuring the company continues to grow its reputation as Ireland’s premium coffee roaster.”
