TikTok sensations Cairde mark 4* Dublin hotel opening

TikTok sensations wow with Beckett-inspired performance “Dance First. Think Later. It’s the Natural Order”

Today marks the official opening of The Samuel hotel in Dublin, a four-star offering which is situated within one of the city’s stylish new quarters at Spencer Place.

Dancing into the Docklands, Irish TikTok sensations Cairde, who recently performed for US President Joe Biden, kick-started the celebrations by entertaining guests with special performances throughout the day.

Located just a five-minute walk from Dublin’s iconic Samuel Beckett Bridge across the River Liffey, The Samuel pays homage to the city’s Nobel Laureate with subtle references to his works throughout the sophisticated hotel.

Primely located within Spencer Dock, Dublin 1, the eight-storey €39 million hotel is conveniently positioned close to the Convention Centre Dublin and the lively 3-Arena, with a Luas stop right outside the hotel. There are many bustling corporate buildings in the vicinity of the hotel, with the popular Bord Gáis Energy Theatre just a short walk across the Samuel Beckett bridge.

The stunning new addition to the city’s Docklands boasts striking interiors throughout, offering modern luxury to guests staying in one of the 204 bedrooms, with executive rooms boasting great views across Dublin.

Delivering an elegant environment and delightful dining, the hotel is also home to the The Samuel Bar and Grill, a chic bar and Grand Café style restaurant.

With an emphasis on contemporary dining, the eatery will be led by experienced Head Chef, Daniel Byrne, who has carefully curated a menu with global influence using locally sourced Irish produce in season.

Ideal for indulging in a delicious signature meal before a night out at one of the surrounding entertainment venues or meeting friends for an after work cocktail, The Samuel Bar and Grill is the perfect setting for both guests, local businesses and residents.

Based in the epicentre of ‘modern Dublin’, the hotel is just minutes away from transport links such as the Luas and Connolly Station, with many shops, restaurants and historic landmarks on the doorstep.

As the newest addition to the city, the hotel offers four state-of-the-art fully equipped meeting rooms on the dedicated Meetings and Events mezzanine level, with its own breakout lounge overlooking the hotel ground floor. Meeting facilities feature Clevertouch presentation technology and seamless virtual and hybrid conferencing capability, with space for up to 48 delegates.

The hotel also has a well-equipped fitness suite and a Red Bean Roastery Coffee Shop that will be opening its doors soon, offering signature barista prepared coffees and freshly prepared grab and go options for breakfast and lunch, including gourmet sandwiches, wraps, salads and hot bowls.

The Samuel General Manager Anne-Marie Traynor commented: “We are truly thrilled to be opening the doors of The Samuel to visitors here in Dublin’s bustling city centre. We feel it is the ultimate destination for an activity-packed city break, a romantic getaway or a business trip to the city.

“In Dublin we are proud of our people, culture and history. We feel the connection between people and place is really reflected throughout The Samuel, whether that be the link to our literary legend Samuel Beckett in our name or through the eye-catching art by local creatives visible throughout The Samuel Bar and Grill.

“Dublin truly is a city like no other, and we are extremely excited to see what the future has instore for us here at The Samuel as we begin to welcome guests, both local and from afar. We hope everyone feels that 4-star luxury experience as soon as they walk into our beautiful reception, as well as the genuine warmth you will get from our fantastic team.”

Niall Gibbons, Chief Executive of Tourism Ireland, said: “As we restart overseas tourism to Ireland this year, the opening of The Samuel is very good news and a vote of confidence in Irish tourism. We already work closely with the Dalata Hotel Group and we look forward to co-operating with them to promote their newest hotel overseas.

Congratulations and every good wish to the team at The Samuel.”

Rory Williams, CEO, Ronan Group Real Estate, developer of The Samuel said: “It was a pleasure to partner with Dalata to deliver their latest addition in Dublin city, The Samuel. Centrally located at Spencer Place in the rejuvenated North Docklands, the spectacular interiors, facilities, and external features stand as an example for best-in-class architectural design. The exemplary structure will soon represent an instantly recognisable hotel in Dublin, further adding to the city’s tourism offering and the area’s standing as an excellent base for business and leisure visitors alike.”
