Clontarf Castle Hotel is delighted to announce the appointment of Matti Reuter as the Deputy General Manager
Born in Germany, Matti graduated from GMIT with a Hotel & Catering Management degree in 2013. Matti originally moved to Ireland in 2008 for a summer job working at reception in the Clarion Hotel in Sligo, however, instead of leaving to go back home to Germany when the summer came to an end, he started the Trainee Management Development Program through the Clarion Group.
In his 13 year career in hospitality in Ireland, Matti has held management positions in The G Hotel in Galway and the Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire and spent the last 6 years in senior positions in Druids Glen Resort in Wicklow and Brooks Hotel in Dublin City Centre..
Matti grew up in Germany and upstate New York, USA. He started playing American Football when he was 6 years old in Germany and for 2 years during High School in the USA. Matti loves to travel and try local cuisines wherever he goes. His most recent trips pre 2020 include Australia, Indonesia and a Caribbean Cruise, visiting 10 Caribbean Islands including Barbados, Aruba, Martinique and Dominica. Matti currently lives in Greystones with his partner Sinead and their 19-month-old son Theo.
Matti has had an exciting career trajectory that has given him invaluable experience in guest relations, food & beverages and staff management. His travels and experience have given him a greater understanding of both Irish and global hospitality industries.
Matti aims to bring his knowledge, experience and skills to his new role as the Deputy General Manager at Clontarf Castle Hotel and is keen to use his background in guest relations and staff management to build strong relationships, managing the exceptional teams of Clontarf Castle Hotel.
