Ariel House, part of Ireland’s largest regional hotel group The iNUA Collection, set in the leafy Dublin suburb of Ballsbridge celebrated their recent refurbishment and stylish new look on Thursday, 28th September where they welcomed friends, family and guests to a Champagne reception.

Guests enjoyed the understated elegance of the splendid Victorian guesthouse, where 14 guestrooms and the entire ground floor including the reception area, drawing room and conservatory have been updated. Using a colour palette sympathetic with the style of the three handsome Victorian townhouses that together make up Ariel House, including a striking cornflower blue reception area, a deep dove grey in the drawing room and conservatory and a rich biscuit master bedroom with its impressive original mahogany four-poster bed, the designers also unearthed a number of original features like the stunning tiled fireplace in the breakfast room.

The McKeown family took over at Ariel House 22 years ago with current Managing Director Jennie McKeown overseeing the half a million-euro refurbishment of the 37-room property on Lansdowne Road earlier this year. Herself, General Manager Keila De Souza who joined the team this year from Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, Cork and the entire team at Ariel House are delighted with feedback from regular guests and new visitors alike.

“We’re so pleased with the new look Ariel House,” says Jennie McKeown. “We feel that we have kept the essence of what Ariel House means to us and to our many loyal guests who have visited us over the last 22 years. It’s a special property and we are really happy with how the new colours and fabrics suit the feel of Ariel House so perfectly. The newly refurbished guest rooms are a contemporary reimagining of the Victorian period and every aspect of the redesign has been a true labour of love, with rich fabrics and colour palettes, sophisticated antiques and interesting artworks.”

Jennie continued ‘It has been wonderful to showcase the new look this evening, the feedback has been wonderful, and we look forward to a busy Autumn and festive season at Ariel House’.

Guests enjoyed exploring the guesthouse and meeting the family behind the stunning property during the evening of Thursday, 28th of September while sipping Champagne Beaumont Des Crayères Grand Reserve NV, Cuna Del Sol Merlot and Cuna Del Sol Sauvignon Blanc and tasting a selection of canapés. Chef Rose, who is behind the award-winning breakfast cooked each morning for guests with Rose bringing her own family recipes to the kitchen of Ariel House.

Ariel House is where sophistication and layers of historical charm meet modern grace to create a luxurious sense of home in leafy Ballsbridge.
