Access Hospitality’s Guestline Mandates Trusted Browsers to Combat Increased Phishing Attacks

As cyber threats rise across the hospitality industry Guestline strengthens security controls for customers.

As cyber threats continue to rise across the hospitality industry, hotels are under increasing pressure to safeguard guest data and operational systems.

Cybercriminals are actively targeting hotel property management systems and booking channels to harvest credentials, gain unauthorised access to systems, and ultimately exploit guest and business data.

In line with its mission to protect customers, Guestline, part of Access Hospitality, has now mandated the use of Trusted Browsers to strengthen security controls. This ensures that only approved and recognised devices can access critical property management systems, without adding unnecessary friction for hotel teams.

Trusted Browsers will be enforced across Guestline sites in May 2026.

Trusted Browsers will be enforced in Secure Mode across all Guestline sites during May 2026.

Nicola Longfield, Chief Commercial Officer, Global Accommodation & Payments at Access Hospitality comments,

Cybercriminals are actively targeting hotel property management systems (PMS), email systems, and booking channels. They are sending emails that appear to be from legitimate sources, including OTA platforms or internal systems, designed to trick staff into entering login information or downloading malware.“

That’s why we’ve mandated Trusted Browsers for Guestline users. Trusted Browsers is a second factor authentication method designed specifically for hospitality environments.

“Once enabled, any browser used to access Guestline will need to be approved by the Admin user before it can be used to log in. This is a one-time process per device and ensures your property’s systems remain secure.

“By ensuring only trusted devices can access your system, Trusted Browsers helps reduce the risk of compromised accounts, unauthorised logins and potential disruption to your property.”

What should operators do?

Nicola explains,

“Operators don’t need to wait for enforcement – we strongly encourage you to act now.

“Your current Trusted Browsers setting is in Standard mode, which means you can already view and pre-approve browsers in the Admin Panel before enforcement takes place. Taking action now will make the transition seamless for your team.”

How to set up trusted browsers
