Castlemartyr Resort & Gormleys Art Gallery present the fourth year of Ireland’s largest and most prestigious art and sculpture event
A spectacular collection of world-class artworks, culture, sculpture, and opera await guests at Castlemartyr Resort this summer. In an extraordinary fusion of fine art and high culture, the resort will once again transform into an open-air stage for Gormleys Art + Soul, blending world-class sculpture, visual art, and operatic performance in a setting as stunning as the works themselves.
A Living Gallery at Castlemartyr
From 31 May 2026, Castlemartyr Resort will become a living gallery, where guests can stroll past a Salvador Dalí sculpture on the lawn, encounter Andy Warhol’s iconic pop art en route to dinner, or glimpse a selection of sculptures and paintings by acclaimed Irish artist Liam O’Neill on the way to their room for a blissful night’s sleep.
Spanning four weeks, Gormleys Art + Soul will showcase over 350 sculptures and paintings throughout Castlemartyr Resort and its magnificent grounds. As Ireland’s largest sculpture exhibition, the centrepiece is a magnificent outdoor collection of more than 100 sculptures, thoughtfully curated across the resort’s 220-acre, 18th-century manor estate.
Visitors can admire works by celebrated sculptors such as Patrick O’Reilly, Giacinto Bosco, Philip Jackson and many others. Inside the hotel, over 200 exceptional artworks will be exhibited, representing a dynamic blend of Irish talent,including John Redmond, Peter Monaghan, and Jenny Belton,alongside internationally acclaimed artists Andy Warhol, Banksy, Tracey Emin, Julian Opie, and Salvador Dalí.
On the opening day, 31 May at 3pm, the official launch will be led by Castlemartyr Resort co-owner Dr. Stanley Querk, alongside Oliver Gormley, founder of Gormleys Gallery. Following this, guests will enjoy an exclusive performance by Blackwater Valley Opera Festival. This is a wonderful opportunity for visitors to kickstart an exciting month at Castlemartyr Resort with a vibrant celebration of the arts.

Gormleys Art+Soul Exhibition Preview Evening
On Thursday, 28 May, Castlemartyr Resort will host a very special preview evening for the Gormleys Art + Soul Exhibition, where attendees can enjoy an evening of art, fine dining, and conversation.
The evening begins at 6pm, giving guests the opportunity to be among the first to preview the extraordinary collection of contemporary artworks and meet the talented artists behind them.
Guests will also enjoy a specially curated dinner experience by Curated by Terre, showcasing the resort’s award-winning culinary excellence. Join Castlemartyr Resort for this exclusive celebration of creativity, culture, and cuisine, a night not to be missed.

Art + Soul Day Visitors
The exhibition will be open 7 days a week from 11am -7pm daily with guided tours at 12pm, 2pm and 4pm. The daily guided tours will require pre-booking on gormleys.ie Otherwise guests are welcome to enjoy the exhibition at their leisure with options to enjoy lunch at Castlemartyr Resorts Canopy Restaurant and Kirbys Clubhouse. Pre-booking for lunch and dinner is advised.

Art + Soul Overnight
Extend an evening of art into a glorious overnight experience with Castlemartyr’s specially curated Art+ Soul package. This package includes one night’s luxurious accommodation with breakfast in the gorgeous Canopy Restaurant; guests will also enjoy a guided tour of the exhibition.
