The Boyne Valley Tourism team were delighted to host their first Agents’ FAM trip of 2026 on Tuesday, 10th February and Wednesday, 11th February 2026.

Attendees enjoyed a jam-packed two days with a mix of history, delicious food as well as local crafts. The trip focused on the theme of ‘The Traitors Ireland’ which was set in the beautiful Boyne Valley. It offered attendees the opportunity to journey through some of the historic sites highlighted on screen (and nearby), peeling back the layers of time to see how these places shaped the past. The group visited The Hill of Tara, Slane Castle & Distillery, Boann Distillery, Trim Castle and The Spire of Lloyd.

Alongside the historical significance of the region, the group also explored the craftspeople who draw inspiration from the cultural landscape with visits to Boyne Valley Wools or Sonas Craft Studio.

Attendees also enjoyed delicious food during the trip with visits to Bective Tearooms for breakfast, Sage & Stone in Duleek & Sheridan’s Cheesemongers and Café for lunch as well as Trim Castle Hotel for dinner. They were also lucky enough to experience a truly hands-on food experience with ‘The Gentleman Baker’ – Chris Brownlow – and his wife Sara for their ‘Bread with Benefits’ workshop. Here they discovered how to nourish the body & mind through the art of bread-making.

Speaking about the FAM trip, Emma Gill, Boyne Valley Tourism Officer, commented,

“We were delighted to host our first Agents’ FAM trip of 2026 with a great offering for our attendees. The FAM trips are so important as they allow agents to see first hand all that the region has to offer for visitors from both Ireland and abroad.”
