Birr Castle Demesne has launched a brand-new train experience this month running every weekend bringing yet another reason to visit this hidden treasure in the centre of Ireland.
This 20-minute scenic train journey winds through the beautiful 120-acre Demesne, showcasing some of its most iconic sights, including the Great Telescope and the exterior of the Castle, while also featuring the remarkable collection of plants and trees from around the world.
Perfect for little explorers and grown-ups alike, the ride includes designated photo stops, giving everyone a chance to capture the magic. After the train, enjoy the interactive Science Centre, the adventure playground, and plenty of space to roam and picnic.
Open daily from 09:00 to 16:00 a visit to Birr Castle Demesne includes garden walks, seven science galleries, the playground, the Great telescope, a gift shop, the Courtyard Café, open daily offering seasonal sweet and savoury treats, and 120 acres of parklands and gardens to explore.
