Radiant Glamour: Cashel Palace Hotel Unveils Inaugural ‘Race Day Ready’ Charity Fashion Showcase!

Cashel Palace Hotel is delighted to host an exciting and engaging Champagne and Afternoon Tea Fashion Showcase in association with the Council of Irish Fashion Designers on Sunday 25th February 2024. All funds raised at the event will go to support Le Cairde Day Care Centre in Clonmel and The Alzheimer Society of Ireland.

Embrace the opportunity to mingle with Ireland’s leading designers and accessories creators in the opulent surroundings of the 18th Century Palladian Manor House at Cashel Palace Hotel. On arrival, guests will be welcomed with a glass of Champagne in the luxurious Main House Drawing Room with French doors leading out to the immaculately landscaped gardens and with the iconic Rock of Cashel providing the perfect magical backdrop.

A sumptuous Traditional Afternoon Tea will be served in the contemporary grand Ballroom, providing guests the time to sample each delicacy while the designers share their creative journeys and showcase their designs, inviting interaction and panel discussions throughout the afternoon.

The impressive Race Day Panel includes:

Caroline Duffy, an artist and designer who creates fabric prints from her own artwork for a range of silk scarves, wraps and kimonos.

Heidi Higgins, an award-winning designer and businesswoman known for her impactful use of colour. Famous for her dress collections, she designs looks to take her clients from day to after dark.

Sharon Hoey, who has been running her own renowned fashion label for over 35 years. Originally known for her exquisite wedding dresses, her AndTate collection offers trans seasonal ‘day to dinner’ dresses and separates.

Aoife Kirwan, a graduate of the London College of Fashion, uses traditional millinery techniques, the highest quality luxurious materials and contemporary styling in her bespoke millinery collections.

Rosy Temple, CEO of Magee 1866. The company – a fifth generation Irish business – produces softly tailored looks, many in its own luxurious fabrics and using natural fibres like wool, cashmere, alpaca and linen.

There will be multiple opportunities to ‘meet the makers’ throughout the afternoon and connect with the designers to ensure each guest leaves having confidently absorbed the informative styling tips.

The high point of this collaboration is that all proceeds from the day will go to the Le Cairde Day Care Centre in Clonmel in association with The Alzheimer Society of Ireland. Le Cairde is a dementia specific Day Care Centre which enables people to live independently for longer at home.

Since opening their doors in March 2022, an imperative consideration for the proprietors and management of Cashel Palace Hotel is that the hotel be a part of, and support to, the local community. This inaugural charity event is further testament to the hotel’s continued dedication to this remit.
