Into Kildare promoting and 'selling County Kildare in America'

Into Kildare, the County Kildare tourism board, will join forces with the Dublin Convention Bureau which will see the leading Irish tourism body head up a dedicated sales mission for County Kildare in the United States of America. Following extensive research and through existing and established networks, Into Kildare has facilitated and secured one to one, prescheduled appointments, providing a valuable opportunity for Into Kildare Members to meet and do business with the most prominent buyers within the Meeting, Incentive, Conference, and Events business in the states (MICE Business). The United States remains an extremely important market for MICE business in the island of Ireland.  According to Tourism Ireland in 2019, Ireland welcomed 1.7 million American visitors whose visits delivered €1.6 billion to the Irish economy.

This exciting and inaugural sales mission will be held in the Fitzpatrick Manhattan Hotel, New York and commences on the 30th of August and runs over a number of days. The mission will give some of the county’s leading and most prominent tourism, hospitality, and visitor attractions the chance to sell and promote their offerings to this key market. Apart from private meetings with buyers, Áine Mangan, CEO of Into Kildare, together with her team has arranged presentations to Tourism Ireland, The Consulate General of Ireland, and CIÉ, America.

Into Kildare members who will be part of this mission include Newbridge Silverware, Kilkea Castle, Barberstown Castle, Killashee Hotel, Club at Goffs, and Kildare Village, all of which are collaborating and working together to showcase the very best of County Kildare.  The sales mission is part of an overall strategy created and implemented by Into Kildare to promote County Kildare its many offerings, products and services to a global audience. The U.S sales mission is the third international overseas trade event that has been facilitated by Into Kildare and has been warmly welcomed by Into Kildare members and visitor attractions in the county.

Áine Mangan said, “Through extensive and regular interactions with our members, the U.S was identified as being a major target market. We used our vast network and contacts in North America to find and secure meetings with the best and most relevant meeting and incentive buyers in the states. We are very much looking forward to showcasing what county Kildare has to offer and promoting the products and services of our members in America”.  For more information, please visit www.intokildare.ie
