Virtual tourism showcase for Ireland in China

19 tourism enterprises from the island of Ireland join Tourism Ireland at ITB China

Nineteen (19) tourism companies from the island of Ireland are joining Tourism Ireland virtually at ITB China this week. ITB China – which kicks off today (8 November) – is traditionally the biggest travel promotion of the year in China.

ITB China will take place as an online event this year and will run until 31 December. Over the coming weeks, it will provide a valuable opportunity for the participating companies from Ireland to meet, and do business with, key travel professionals from China – encouraging them to introduce Ireland into their programmes for 2022 and beyond, or to extend the programmes in which Ireland already features.

Iris Wang, Tourism Ireland’s Marketing Manager in China, said: “We are really pleased to take part in ITB China this year. The format of virtual one-to-one appointments provides a good opportunity for our partners to showcase the island of Ireland to key Chinese tour operators and travel buyers. Our message for those travel professionals is that we can’t wait to roll out the green carpet and welcome their clients back to our shores.”
