Wine First – ELY Gets Back to Its Wine Bar Roots – Wine and Food That Speaks For Itself

Announcing – New Wine Wednesdays at ELY Winebar, 22 Ely Place.

ELY Wine Bar continues to elevate its ‘Wine First’ ethos, with a focus on organic, natural and biodynamic wines that can be enjoyed on their own or accompanied by a dish or two from their latest ‘small plates’ style menu. A menu that is, as always, based on seasonality and simplicity, with a strong emphasis on Artisan Irish producers. ELY Wine Bar’s food complements the carefully curated wine list, and both are delivered in a beautifully relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, in stylish and contemporary surroundings.

This autumn, ELY announces Wine Wednesdays at ELY Winebar – a series of fun, informal and entertaining wine tastings. Each evening will focus on a different theme, region, grape variety or style of wine, and will be paired with cheese and charcuterie. Starting on October 27th. €36 pp and table bookings can be made through Open table for groups of 2 – 8 people.

ELY’s Wine Bar has reset its focus on giving a ‘wine experience’ to their guests. With their Wine First mantra ELY gives you a commitment free opportunity to enjoy their extensive wine list, especially by the glass. Many of the wines they now import directly from small family run wineries in Europe such as Adega Algueira in Ribera Sacra, Bodega Marañones in Madrid, Alta Alella’s Cava and Bodegas Tobia’s Riojas.

ELY Wine Bar welcomes new head chef, Luca, to the helm. Luca has been with ELY for many years, but now as head chef, he brings a whole new level of creativity, as well as his Italian heritage and passion, to the menu.

The new menu includes (among many other dishes) slow cooked lamb croquettes, truffle burrata, ox tongue, cheek & heart terrine as well as lobster ravioli.

As we rediscover the city and Dublin nightlife, ELY Wine Bar offers the perfect hideaway for amazing wines, great cocktails and excellent food in Dublin’s city centre.
