‘Back and better than ever!’

The Montenotte Hotel Reopens on June 2nd

With just under one week to go, The Montenotte Hotel is making final preparations to welcome friends old and new through their doors once again with (socially distant) open arms, from Wednesday 2nd June.

Over the past year, The Montenotte Hotel has spent time investing in its proposition, enhancing its service standards, developing enticing new summer offerings as well as reinventing itself through introducing new services such as call and collect Afternoon Tea and The Montenotte Vintage Van Café. Now, with full reopening on the very near horizon, the Montenotte returns ready and is the perfect destination hotel from which to experience the very best of Cork.

Brian Bowler, General Manager of The Montenotte, who is busy preparing for this very important opening date, stated;

The Montenotte Hotel

“There is no doubt our industry has taken an enormous hit over the past year. At The Montenotte, we made the decision to face these challenges early on and ensure that when we return, we would come back better than ever. We have spent this time wisely, talking to our customers, seeing what they would like from us when things reopened, investing in developing the team and strengthening our offering. The past year has been challenging for everyone – our guests and our team alike, so we have really focused on welcoming guests back with something extra special to offer.

“In particular we have really looked at celebrating everything that Cork has to offer  – with so much right on our doorstep.  Due to restrictions, many of our guests last season were from the city or county, which gave them the opportunity to explore the region as tourists for the first time. The feedback from these ‘staycations’ was phenomenal and influenced our range of offerings for the summer season – linking our guests with some of the very best experiences in Cork. Perfect for those looking for adventure, romance or those who merely want to relax and be pampered with a well deserved and long awaited break.”

The Montenotte’s “Ultimate Luxury Getaway” is their jewel in the crown this summer. It’s a three night, truly extraordinary romantic break, where you don’t even have to set foot out of the hotel’s extensive grounds if you so wish. The experience starts with a bottle of chilled bubbly to welcome you to your room, reserved dining on two of the evenings in the Panorama Bistro where you can watch the sunset over the harbour.

This package also includes a gin cocktail making class made with The Montenotte’s own limited edition Botanical Gin, and a rejuvenating spa treatment. On an evening of your choice guests are free to explore the city, perhaps taking a walk along the quays or on the many bridges of Cork or venturing further afield to explore the nearby coast or countryside.

There is so much to discover in the Cork region – both city and county.  A particular favourite of guests is a stroll along the quays, a visit to the riverside gardens in Fitzgerald Park, a walk over the famous “shakey” bridge or venturing further afield across the bay to Blackrock Castle

To complete the stay, guests can enjoy a personal training session in Motion Health Club along with a self-guided tour of the museum at Nano Nagle Place with an ambassador offering background information before the start. A true “pure Cork” breakaway.

Details of all of the packages and much more are available on The Montenotte’s website TheMontenotteHotel.com.
