Ireland’s Largest Foodservice and Hospitality Exhibition Celebrates 60 Years in Business

CATEX, Ireland’s largest foodservice and hospitality event celebrates 60 years since its establishment in what will be its biggest and best trade show to date. CATEX 2025, is proudly sponsored by Bunzl McLaughlin and Calor and will take place in the RDS Simmonscourt, February 18th – 20th 2025 and will showcase the finest catering hospitality professionals from across Ireland and further afield.

CATEX 2025 will celebrate the exhibition’s rich and vibrant history over the past six decades. The trade only attendees will get the chance to see, taste and test the latest culinary trends, innovations and delights.

Over the course of three days, attendees, suppliers, exhibitors and catering professionals will have the opportunity to network and indulge in gastronomic inspiration, watch the best of the best in mixology and culinary talent all while seeing the latest products and techniques in the industry. The centrepiece of the three day show will see hundreds of chefs and baristas compete on a national stage in a series of world class events. The event will see over 270 suppliers with over 12,000 visitors.

Speaking on the CATEX 2025 launch, Conrad Greene, Chair of the Irish Food Service Suppliers Alliance (IFSA) said that “For the last 60 years, CATEX has promoted different cultures, trends and innovations while showcasing opportunities for hospitality and tourism businesses to thrive. I look forward to celebrating another year of such a progressive event and what better way than to be back at the Mansion House with the Lord Mayor of Dublin, where CATEX began, 60 years ago”.

Daithí de Róiste, Lord Mayor of Dublin, said that “CATEX 2025 is a fantastic way for culinary professionals all over Ireland and abroad to connect and celebrate the exhibitions 60th anniversary.  I am thrilled to be a part of Ireland’s largest food service and hospitality exhibition and to mark this monumental occasion”.

He went onto say that “The Catex event will not only find the latest products and trends in the industry, but it also plays an immense role in shaping and inspiring the future of the industry for the next 60 years”.
