Jurys Inn Appoints Julieann Brennan As New Head Of HR

October 10, 2018

Jurys Inn, the leading UK and Irish hotel group, is delighted to announce the appointment of Julieann Brennan as its new Head of HR for the Group.

Julieann begins her new role with over 20 years of senior management experience in the hospitality industry, having held various roles throughout Jurys Inn. Most recently, Julieann was Senior Regional Operations Manager where she was responsible for 12 hotels across the Jurys Inn and Leonardo Hotels UK & Ireland. Prior to this, she held the position of Head of Franchise Hotels at Amaris Hospitality, and various Regional Operations Manager roles across the UK, Ireland and Prague.

In her new position, Julieann will be responsible for leading the overall people strategy for Jurys Inn Group, covering areas such as recruitment and selection, learning and development, employee engagement, employer relations and compensation and benefits. She will also play a key role in building out a strong talent pipeline as the Group embarks on an ambitious expansion plan, and managing Jurys Inn’s recent partnership with Scope and The Cedar Foundation.

Julieann’s appointment follows the recent announcement that Jurys Inn has assumed responsibility for the management of Leonardo Hotels across the UK, making her responsible for developing HR initiatives for a total of 3,000 employees across the Group.

Commenting on the appointment, Jason Carruthers, Managing Director of Jurys Inn, said: “Julieann will be an asset to the senior management team and brings extensive knowledge of the business from her varied roles over the past 20 years. Over 80% of our General Managers are recruited from within, and given our ambitious expansion plans for the Group, maintaining and attracting this talent will be essential.”

Julieann Brennan said: “I’m delighted and very much welcome this new role within Jurys Inn. I’m a firm believer that our people are at the core of our business and operations, and look forward to working closely with Jason and the wider management team to ensure that our people strategy supports our organisational strategy and our very valuable talent throughout all areas of our business.”
