Introducing Killarney’s Newest Private Dining Venue - The Picture Room
Introducing Killarney’s newest private dining venue, The Picture Room, has recently been launched at The Malton Killarney. This new elegant dining space offers gourmet food and impeccable service in a beautiful Victorian setting, ideal for special occasions, family gatherings or an intimate wedding celebration. The Picture room is steeped in history and was actually used as a photographic dark room in the 1900’s where guests’ photographs were developed and printed.
The Picture Room later became a cinema, complete with tip-up seats and silver screen and was used as a base for the editing and production of the famous 1970 film, Ryan’s Daughter. The Picture Room is now home to The Malton Killarney’s archive of vintage photographs and is itself perfectly framed by large Victorian picture windows overlooking the hotel’s extensive gardens and reaching to beautiful views of the Kerry Mountains beyond.
