Kilkea Castle Named In Top Ten Hotels In Ireland In Condé Nast Traveller’s 2019 Readers’ Choice Awar
The historic Kilkea Castle has been named as one of the Top 10 Hotels in Ireland in Condé Nast Traveller’s 2019 Reader’s Choice Awards, a first for the property which reopened after extensive refurbishment and a €30 million investment by Boston businessman Jay Cashman in 2017.
Over the past year Condé Nast combined their annual surveys in the US and UK into one global awards list, with Kilkea Castle announced as of one of Ireland’s top 10 hotels. Over 600,000 readers from around the world submitted their opinions to the magazine including their experiences with hotels, resorts, cruise lines and airlines. Located just an hour’s drive from Dublin, Kilkea Castle in Kildare is one of the oldest inhabited castles in Ireland, boasting a rich history. The charming 12th century estate, surrounded by 180 acres of lush woodland, is the perfect base to explore Ireland’s Ancient East. The Castle has just recently launched the Spa at Kilkea Castle and will open its new conference centre also this month.
