The Westin Dublin Appoints Roderick Jan Vastenburg As Director of Food and Beverage
The Westin Dublin is delighted to announce the appointment of Roderick Jan Vastenburg as its new Director of Food & Beverage. Roderick joins The Westin Dublin from his previous position as Group Director of Operations with the Johnnie Cooke Group. Roderick spent two years there, overseeing restaurant operations across four outlets, including The Restaurant by Johnnie Cooke at Brown Thomas, Green & Bean Café, Cookes Restaurant and Juanitos.
Originally from Amsterdam, Roderick’s love of food and beverage began when he studied Hospitality Management in Amsterdam, before completing a degree in Restaurant Revenue Management at Cornell University, New York. From 2002 to 2005 Roderick worked across leading hotel chains in Amsterdam and Spain, before making his way to Ireland, where he developed his skills and knowledge while working in Brownes Townhouse, Bentley’s Oyster Bar & Grill, The Cliff Town House, The Marker Hotel, HQ Gastro Bar & Restaurant and The K Club.
With nearly two decades of international and Irish experience, Roderick brings his experience and understanding of the food and beverage business to The Westin Dublin, where he will help shape the food and beverage offerings at The Banking Hall, Morelands Grill, The Atrium Lounge and The Mint Bar.
