Management Team of New Hyatt Centric The Liberties Dublin Takes Shape
Hyatt Centric The Liberties Dublin was delighted to announce the appointment of Lauren Keating as HR Manager of the soon to be launched hotel earlier this month. Lauren is the most recent appointment to the Management Team which is led by Declan Curtis who took up the role of General Manager at the start of 2019. Declan has over 12 years’ experience working at management level in high-end hotels and is greatly respected in the industry thanks to his wealth of knowledge and unwavering commitment to excellence in customer service. Lauren has over six years’ experience in the hospitality industry, most recently spending three years working in various HR roles with a major international hotel group. Lauren started her career in hotel operations and her time spent as Duty Manager in a busy UK hotel means she has an in-depth knowledge of the day-to-day running of each department and the many demands placed on hotel staff. With this thorough understanding, Lauren is perfectly placed to identify the most suitable candidates for vacancies in the hotel and to support and motivate employees in their careers. It will be a case of hitting the ground running for Lauren as she will immediately join Declan and the wider team in a major recruitment drive to fill the 180 jobs that will be created by the opening of the 234-room hotel. With vacancies at every experience level and in all departments, the launch of this four-star city centre hotel offers the opportunity to work for the internationally recognised Hyatt brand in Ireland for the first time. By joining an organisation on Fortune Magazine’s 2018 list of “100 Best Companies to Work For”, new recruits can look forward to numerous benefits designed to promote a healthy work-life balance. Hyatt Centric The Liberties is part of the O’Sullivan Irish family-owned Hodson Bay Group so employees will also benefit from the Group’s ingrained culture of respect for employees, customers and local community and have access to a new management development programme which will be launched during the year. The programme has been designed to support the growth and development of employees at every stage of their career.
Explaining the type of person being recruited for Hyatt, Johnny O’Sullivan, Director of Hodson Bay Group, said, “In designing the hotel, we have strived to creatively and respectfully incorporate the richness of its location. Hyatt Centric Hotel will set itself apart from other Dublin hotels by facilitating a fascinating, localised customer journey. We can offer a truly magical and memorable experience and to deliver on this, we need to build a team of “Hyatt savvy explorers” who have a passion and commitment for exceptional standards of hospitality.”
