Sweet Treats & Smiles for Temple Street
April was a month filled with sweet success for the O'Callaghan Collection team who raised €4,500 for The Temple Street Foundation in their recent Great Irish Bake event held at The Davenport Hotel.
The four Dublin hotels once again stepped up to the challenge which has become a much anticiapted annual event for all at the hotel group.
The Davenport. The Alex, The Green and The Mont were baking up a storm again this year for the Great Irish Bake for Temple Street Children’s Hospital to help raise some much needed funds for their charity partner. The staff prepared scrumptious pastries, cakes and desserts to satisfy any sweet tooth to raise awareness and funds for a great cause. Hotel and support office staff were involved in the event, as well as a number of suppliers who also generously supported the initiative. As with every other year, there was the perfect pinch of friendly competition between each of the hotels who always aim to impress with the most tasty and beautifully decorated cake assortment. The Temple Street Foundation provides funds to purchase critical medical equipment such as CT and MRI scanners, to maintain buildings and wards, and to make the hospitalisation of the children and their families less stressful. Temple Street University Hospital treats over 50,000 children each year.
