Aramark Celebrates Extraordinary Employees From Around The Globe
Two employees of Aramark Northern Europe have been recognised for their outstanding contribution to the company at Aramark’s third annual Star of Excellence Awards in Dallas. Allison Buchanan, Director of Operations UK and Chef Derek Reilly, Culinary Director, Ireland were recognised for their outstanding contribution to the company in the areas of serving with passion and demonstrating integrity and respect.
The global corporation employs over 270,000 people worldwide and more than 6,000 people in Ireland, which demonstrates the fantastic achievement of Derek in being presented with a Star of Excellence Award by Eric Foss, CEO of Aramark.
Started in 2015, the Star of Excellence award recognises employees for their dedication and hard work. The Awards, which were recently held at an awards dinner in Dallas, are the company's highest recognition, celebrating and honouring extraordinary team members from around the globe in universities, hospitals, sports venues, and in businesses of all kinds as the heartbeat of the global provider of facilities management, food services and property.
Shane Flynn, Managing Director Food Services Ireland explained that the winners are chosen carefully, and it is a true honor to achieve this award, “At Aramark, our people are our greatest asset and the Ring of Stars program allows us to honor the extraordinary efforts of our team members who deliver on our mission to enrich and nourish lives. These dedicated, talented, and incredibly hard-working Service Stars are the very foundation of Aramark.”
On receiving his award for the category of Integrity and Respect Chef Derek Reilly, Culinary Director, Ireland said, “Firstly to be nominated for the Star of Excellences Award has been one of the highlights of my culinary career, I have been truly honoured and humbled to win the award and what makes it so special is that I was nominated by my peers the highest recognition anyone can receive.”
