Al Fresco Dining With A Difference at InterContinental Dublin

The five-star InterContinental Dublin has introduced stylish new Garden Pods to its leafy inner courtyard for the perfect al fresco experience whatever the weather this summer.

Guests can enjoy a specially designed elegant new Garden Afternoon Tea by day, and by night the pods will transform into a stylish Champagne bubble bar in association with Perrier Jouët. The floral-themed pods can accommodate up to six guests and are available to book between 13th June and 12th August 2018. The new Garden Afternoon Tea menu features a selection of summer garden-inspired delights, and guests can choose from a selection of delicate finger sandwiches including smoked Irish salmon and dill cream cheese, zesty lemon scented chicken salad, egg paprika and open roast Irish beef with creamed horseradish, before enjoying fluffy buttermilk scones with clotted cream and homemade mango and raspberry preserves. Then, indulge in an assortment of tantalising garden-inspired treats such as raspberry flavoured ladybird choux choux, chocolate twig ganache, mango, vanilla and passion fruit bumble bee panna cotta, lime leaf cake and butterfly vanilla orange tart…swoon… The new Garden Afternoon Tea menu is offered daily from €40pp, or why not treat yourself and add a glass of Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut Champagne for an additional €15pp, or Perrier-Jouët Blason Rosé Champagne for €18pp. Aside from the Garden Pods, Garden Afternoon Tea will also be served in the hotel’s luxurious Lobby Lounge and Reading Room. Little ones are also well-catered for with a special children’s Garden Afternoon Tea menu which includes some of the above delights as well as banana and peanut butter sandwiches, decadent chocolate brownie and a strawberry tart. The children’s menu is served with a hot drink or fresh juice for €15 per child. Then, as the sun falls and dusk appears, guests can sip Champagne under the stars and enjoy a delectable selection of nibbles and sharing plates, served exclusively in the Garden Pods. Choose from perfectly cured meats, fresh seafood including prawn cocktail and Dungarvan oysters, juicy olives marinated in lemon, garlic and herbs, or indulge in divine cheeses expertly paired with a glass of Perrier-Jouët Champagne. Guests will also be tempted with a selection of desserts including a Vegan Lime and Raspberry Cheesecake, and sumptuous Red Wine Poached Pear, Frangelico Vanilla Pear Disc, Salted Caramel Cremeux and Pear Sorbet, as well as refreshing Champagne cocktails. For exclusive use of a Garden Pod at InterContinental Dublin, there is a minimum spend of €200 per pod for two hours before 6pm, or €400 per pod for two hours after 6pm, for up to six people.
