Middle East Meets West!
Tourism Ireland is promoting the island of Ireland in Dubai, at this year’s Arabian Travel Market (ATM) – in a bid to grow tourist numbers from the UAE in 2018 and beyond.
ATM is the largest travel trade exhibition in the UAE, attracting more than 30,000 visitors – including leading tour operators, travel agents, business tourism buyers, airlines, travel media and bloggers – and not just from the UAE, but from 153 different countries.

Tourism Ireland is working hard to raise the profile of the island of Ireland in the Middle East, and in other emerging tourism markets, as a premier holiday and business tourism destination. With three airlines now operating direct flights from the GCC to Dublin – Emirates, Etihad Airways and Qatar Airways – Tourism Ireland is reminding prospective visitors about ease of access to Ireland. The organisation is also highlighting the lifting of the visa requirements for UAE nationals who wish to visit Ireland, reminding them that it is now easier than ever before to visit Ireland.

“We are delighted to participate in this year’s Arabian Travel Market – which provides another important platform for Tourism Ireland to showcase and sell the island of Ireland to influential travel professionals in the UAE,” said Aisling McDermott, Tourism Ireland’s Manager Asia. “Tourism Ireland is committed to growing visitor numbers to the island of Ireland from emerging tourism markets.”
