ResDiary Appoints Sarah Wilkinson (nee Murray) As Managing Director To Power Growth In New Sectors
Glasgow-based global online reservation system, ResDiary, has today announced the appointment of Sarah Wilkinson (nee Murray) as Managing Director. The former Chief Operating Officer of Carluccio’s will join their head office team on a full-time basis from February 1st. Sarah, who worked with Carluccio’s for 18 years, has been brought in to encourage new growth sectors, improving processes and procedures to facilitate this. As one of the founding team that helped Carluccio’s grow into a large restaurant group, Sarah will be instrumental in spearheading ResDiary’s move to scale from an SME. Part of this will be increasing their appeal to hospitality chains, and powering expansion in the casual dining and bar spaces.
Founder and CEO, Mike Conyers, will still be heavily involved in ResDiary, using his business knowledge alongside Sarah’s hospitality expertise to power the company forward. Mike Conyers said: “The team and I are really looking forward to working with Sarah. Her experience in building and managing a chain of restaurants will be crucial in our ongoing growth and development. From a team of two, we now we have 84 employees across the globe, and 2016 and 2017 were years of unprecedented growth for us. Sarah is here to ensure this carries on in the same vein for 2018. Her in-depth connection to the industry will ensure that as we grow, we continue to be a partner, rather than a supplier, to venues.”
Edinburgh-born Sarah studied law at Aberdeen University before taking on a postgraduate degree in business management at Robert Gordon University. She then moved to London to work with casual dining group, My Kinda Town, to further her hospitality career. After some time installing software with Micros POS, she joined Carluccio’s. Sarah was a key member of the opening operations team for their first Oxford Circus restaurant, before taking on the role of COO.
Following some changes in the Carluccio’s group, Sarah and her husband decided to make the move to Scotland. The ResDiary position became available and Sarah saw the potential in a move into hospitality technology. Sarah said:“Joining ResDiary has come at the perfect time for me.
