Great National Secure Further UK Management Contract
The Irish-owned Great National Hotels and Resorts Group have today (18 January 2018) announced that it has secured a further long-term management contract at the Scalford Hall Hotel in Leicestershire. Located five minutes from the market town of Melton Mowbray and owned by Colin Warburg, Scalford Hall is a locally renowned country house hotel with 81 bedrooms including two suites, 11 meeting rooms, 6 syndicate rooms and a large event room catering for up to 120 guests. The hotel also offers two private dining rooms and permanent team building facilities on site, and will be managed by industry veteran Barry Clark.
Great National was formed in 2010 and is now Ireland and the UK’s fastest growing hospitality group, providing a range of outsourcing services to independent 4-star and 3-star deluxe properties including marketing, distribution, reservations and yield management. The company is now comprised of 65 hotels and resorts, with 4,500 hotel bedrooms, and operates a total of 14 management contracts which includes the Grasmere House Hotel, Salisbury, Wiltshire. Great National has also recently appointed former Booking.com MD Rachel Howes and Brian Reeves, the founder of hotel technology company Avvio.com, as Directors of Distribution and Digital respectively as the company moves to strengthen its senior management team. With its head office in Ennis, Co. Clare, Great National is also Enterprise Ireland backed, directly employing over 860 people throughout group and hotel operations.
