Gas Networks Ireland To Continue Sponsorship Of ‘The Restaurant’ on TV3
Gas Networks Ireland is delighted to announce that it will return in 2018 as the sponsor of TV3’s much-loved show, The Restaurant, for the second year in a row. The show returns to screens early in 2018 for its 12th series. Gas Networks Ireland’s sponsorship of The Restaurant recently won the ‘Best TV Broadcast Sponsorship’ at the 2017 Irish Sponsorship Awards, which took place on November 22nd in Dublin. The award recognised the strength and effectiveness of Gas Networks Ireland’s sponsorship of the show.
Natural gas is the energy of choice for Ireland’s hotel and restaurant trade because of the versatility, reliability and flexibility it offers to chefs, allowing them to create perfect results. By its very nature, the hotel and restaurant trade is an energy intensive business. Not only does natural gas deliver better value for money, but it is the cleanest fossil fuel and the most sustainable energy choice for the hospitality sector.
Denis O’Sullivan, Head of Commercial, Gas Networks Ireland: “We are absolutely delighted to return as sponsor of the 2018 series of ‘The Restaurant’. Every day, Gas Networks Ireland delivers natural gas, a clean dependable source of energy, to over 680,000 consumers across the country to power their homes and businesses. The hotel and restaurant sector is a major contributor to the Irish economy and also a major natural gas customer, and so this sponsorship is the perfect fit for Gas Networks Ireland. We are looking forward to seeing the 5 star dishes this year’s celebrities have in store!”
The sponsorship was negotiated by The Story Lab Ireland on behalf of Gas Networks Ireland, and the combined effort sees natural gas advocacy closely aligned to The Restaurant through product placement, digital and social activation, and exclusive access to the show and filming.
The brand new series of The Restaurant goes into production in January and returns once again to Marco Pierre White’s Courtyard Bar & Grill in Donnybrook, with the world-class chef joining the critics’ table. Voiced by well-known Newstalk presenter Sean Moncrieff, The Restaurant will see six celebrities become head chefs over six weeks.
